Type of Grant

COST Actions comprise a range of networking tools, including workshops, conferences, training schools, short-term scientific missions (STSMs), and dissemination activities.

With an aim of fostering collaboration, STSMs and ITC Conference Grants calls facilitate visits to be made by researchers to an institution or laboratory within the LEAD-ME network, along with providing support to Early Career Investigators (ECI) researchers from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) to attend international science and technology related conferences.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM)

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) are aimed at strengthening existing networks and fostering collaboration by facilitating researchers and scholars participating in the Action to visit an institution in another Country.

A STSM should specifically contribute to the objectives of LEAD ME.

ITC Conference Grants

ITC Conference Grants are aimed at supporting PhD students and ECI researchers from Participating ITC to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organized by the COST Action.
